Battling huge kings as we speak. 5 in the box already, lost 3 others, currently fighting a near 20lb king on a Blood Run Wire Diver – Spin Doctor combo for the past 40 minutes…game on!
Michigan Fishing Report June 27, 2010
There are some nice kings moving in off Holland and Saugatuck right now….water is very warm and and fish can be caught from 70 out to 170. Blood Run Super Coppers in 300, 350, 400 and 450 foot segments with DW Spin Doctors, Action Flies and Howie Flies are best. Blood Run Wire Divers starting to slide into position as the summer diver bite begins to intensify.
Michigan Fishing Report June 23, 2010
Extreme fishing today…shot out at 6am ahead of a storm to catch the morning bite, action was fast and furious until the front moved in at 730 which chased us back into port. Quick blow over and back out again to find the fish had vanished from earlier. Went on a hunting expedition, found them not too far from earlier in the morning and boxed 11 salmon and trout for the day. EXTREMELY tough fishing right now, but still finding a way to get it done. Blood Run Wire Divers taking center stage, with mixed action on super coppers and riggers. Good water still near Holland and Saugatuck, storms have temporarily scattered the fish….Looking forward to good action this weekend!
Profishient Charters is now offering guided ice fishing charters on both Saginaw Bay and Little Bay De Noc for Walleye. Saginaw Bay is renown as the Walleye Capital of the World producing limit catches on a daily basis of excellent “eater” sized walleye.
Little Bay De Noc is renown for its “trophy” walleye fishery producing giant walleyes through the ice.
Profishient Charters offers transportation via snowmobile or quad out to your heated shanty which is set up on a “hot” spot to provide excellent action. All the gear is provided making it a turn key opportunity to excellent walleye ice fishing without having to do the scouting, hole cutting, shanty setup, tackle provisions, etc.
At the end of each trip your catch will be cleaned and bag for your easy transport home.
Our Lake Michigan fishing charter season begins late March from the ports of Michigan City Indiana and St. Joseph Michigan. During this early season there is no better place to be than southern Lake Michigan targeting coho salmon, chinook salmon and brown trout.
Action is fast and furious as the lake begins to warm during early spring. As we move into the month of May, the fish begin to migrate north, and the Profishient Charters fleet follows the fish. We will continue to move north to the ports of St Joseph, South Haven, Saugatuck, Holland and Grand Haven targeting the peak action.
During the summer months of July, August and September, the Profishient Charters fleet will settle in the ports of Holland and Saugatuck targeting salmon as they begin to stage prior to their spawning runs in September and October.
September brings the run of salmon to the rivers and we continue to target wave after wave of fish that are moving nearshore. October brings the best offshore steelhead fishery of the season, while 2-3 year old kings are found offshore.
